Black Flag Friday returns!
If there’s a Friday to fly the punk spirit of Black Flag, it would be today, as Facebook’s massive IPO will make a lucky few very wealthy off the backs and data of their unlucky users. You have to Rise Above…your need to post status updates.
Here’s a photo of Keith & Ron & Dez from Polliwog Park in 1979. Keith is singing, while Ron & Dez wrestle in front. 3/4ths of Black Flag’s singers, all in one shot!
That’s also 3/4ths of the names on our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt as well…but you probably figured that out already.

My WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirts to Brazil and points West, blasting the new OFF!
It reminds us of last year, when we gave Dimitri from OFF! a new shirt for being awesome. Then OFF! ripped our faces off both at a Criminal Records in-store and their show at the Drunken Unicorn that night. Atlanta, you were sweaty and gross sometimes, but you made the punks play ferociously.
Plus: Keith! WTF. Amazing.

You may have noticed something strange about the store as we launch our latest products for your enjoyment. Here are answers to anticipated questions:
- There are no pictures of the new shirts yet, because the shirts are on their way here. Once they are here, we will have proper pictures.
- There are only black ink on black shirts available. No white ink.
- The new button we were very excited for suffered a manufacturing defect that has delayed its launch.
- Shipping prices went up, because our actual shipping costs went up, thanks to the USPS.

There’s a lot that’s great about this picture. The toque, the tats, the shirt (of course). But the back story of this (unprompted!) addition to our sighting gallery is even better.
The lucky young man you see above (who we were assured is actually happy) lives in Hamburg, Germany. His girlfriend wrote to us in November, wanting to make sure we ship internationally. She was interested in buying a MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt as a christmas gift for her Black Flag-loving boyfriend.
That, significant others, is how you win hearts!
Yes, we ship to Germany (and England, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, and anywhere else that wants a shirt). We were all too happy to send out this future present.
The result? Success! The boyfriend was “freaking out—not while taking this pic” (obviously). Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, birthdays, silver wedding anniversaries, job promotions, 100 days since our last accident—any and every occasion is worth celebrating with Black Flag!
The best present for us, however, was hearing back from the happy purchasee, who included this picture for us to share (*and yes we asked if it was ok if we shared the photo first. We ain’t creeps).
This is the fifth and last post in our LONG OVERDUE week-long recap of some favorite shirt sightings thus far. It’s all to celebrate the re-release our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt in an exciting Everything Went Black Ink/Black Shirt edition on April 21, 2012, ie. tomorrow.
Shirts! SLIP IT pINs! More! Stay tuned for at least one more update.

There was a brief moment in time when the careers and labels of Black Flag and Dinosaur jr. overlapped. Lou Barlow (pictured above) was there, manning the bass in the (then young upstarts) Dinosaur jr.
After parting ways, Lou went on to successful careers with Sebadoh, Sentridoh, Folk Implosion, and as a solo artist, before reuniting with the original Dinosaur lineup.
Did we, as young Fabulists, think we’d ever see Lou wearing a shirt we made, as he played with Sebadoh at a bar in Scotland? Hell naw. Honored!
Reminder: This is our fourth post recapping some of our favorite shirt sightings thus far. It’s all to celebrate the re-release our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt in an exciting Everything Went Black Ink/Black Shirt edition on April 21, 2012. Plus, Ron/Chavo pins. Plus another new pin! And…more?

One of the highlights of 2011 was when Dimitri Coats accepted our offer/gift of a MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt. But one of the higher highlights of 2011 was his decision to wear it at their Atlanta show, back in March:
Punk rock supergroup OFF! played Atlanta’s Drunken Unicorn last week. Their collection of EPs is a favorite in the office, so the whole Fabrication Fabrication team was in attendance. Also there, as modeled above by Dimitri Coats, was our Keith & Ron & Dez & Henry MY WARdrobe…
The highest highlight of that higher highlight of a night? Getting our personal copy autographed by Keith Morris. A gentleman and a legend!
