Orders out, ¡C U I D A D O!, Great Britain, CA, NY: both coasts & our former overseer all get MY WARdrobe and button updates. Notice any previews?
You may have noticed something strange about the store as we launch our latest products for your enjoyment. Here are answers to anticipated questions:
- There are no pictures of the new shirts yet, because the shirts are on their way here. Once they are here, we will have proper pictures.
- There are only black ink on black shirts available. No white ink.
- The new button we were very excited for suffered a manufacturing defect that has delayed its launch.
- Shipping prices went up, because our actual shipping costs went up, thanks to the USPS.

When Rollins lamented “Now she’s black” on Loose Nut was he talking about an actual woman, waxing metaphoric about emotions, or uttering a reference to our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt 27 years prior to its arrival? Let’s bow to the prescience of Hank. Our all-new, all-black, all-Black-Flag-Tribute-Shirts are on their way!
For Record Store Day 2012, we wanted to do something special, something that really captured the beautiful black spirit of buying beautiful black vinyl with beautiful Black Flag etched into it. Hence, everything went black for this limited edition: a BLACK shirt with BLACK ink. Black! Take me back! Black!
We’re also reuniting our two versions of the MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt for this special Black/Black Black Flag configuration:
Making its debut will be a never-before-available Chavo version of our SLIP IT pIN: Black Flag Tribute Button. BLACK! Let me (p)in!
Shirts will available for order starting on April 21, 2012. For the latest updates, you should follow Fabrication Fabrication on Twitter, Instagram, or give us your email and get The Occasional Fabrication.
All orders come with a free Fabrication Fabrication sticker.
More details (and pictures) to come. Don’t gnaw off your knuckles in excitement.

Black Flag Friday: MY WARdrobe is running low, but SLIP IT pINs are back in stock.
We haven’t said too much recently, because there’s been too much to say. Let us summarize:
After a wave of psyched Black Flag fans ordered MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirts, a wave of disappointed Black Flag fans emailed/social-media-ed us about missing out on their chance to get a shirt. It was a limited edition, after all.
But the pleas kept coming. And the combination of a limited edition plus an error-prone ecommerce solution disrupted some peoples’ orders. And we are not heartless, artless monsters. We are heartfull, artless monsters.
The MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt (Second Edition) is a limited edition of our original limited edition. We’ve only reprinted Version 1: The Ron (Keith & Ron & Dez & Henry.) this time. That’s right: No Chavo! We also made only half as many shirts. If you’re bad at math like us, this works out to 25% of the original edition, making the original edition 175% more valuable on the Black Black Flag Market.
We’re also working with a new (and amazing) screen printing shop. One of the benefits of this is an overall softer (but still punk rock) shirt due to a different ink being used. The shirts are still Alternative Apparel. You will be even more comfortable than ever as you see your place in American waste. We also added a design credit *cough* lawyers *cough*.
Why the SLIP IT pIN: Black FLag Tribute Button? Because: you may not wear t-shirts, you have to wear a coat 6 to 8 months of the year, you like to decorate your bag, you like to decorate your purse, your dog wouldn’t wear the shirt, pinning the shirt to your hat looked silly, you already own one of the shirts, you already own both of the shirts, you have no more room for another shirt, you only like round items, you only like items with pointy backs, you enjoy subtlety, you only have $0.50 to spend, you only want to spend $0.50, [illegible], Black Flag was awesome.
You can get any/all of these things at our new store, opening tonight at 6/27/2011, at 9:00 p.m. EST. We hope to see you there!
