Black Flag Friday returns!
If there’s a Friday to fly the punk spirit of Black Flag, it would be today, as Facebook’s massive IPO will make a lucky few very wealthy off the backs and data of their unlucky users. You have to Rise Above…your need to post status updates.
Here’s a photo of Keith & Ron & Dez from Polliwog Park in 1979. Keith is singing, while Ron & Dez wrestle in front. 3/4ths of Black Flag’s singers, all in one shot!
That’s also 3/4ths of the names on our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt as well…but you probably figured that out already.

One of the highlights of 2011 was when Dimitri Coats accepted our offer/gift of a MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt. But one of the higher highlights of 2011 was his decision to wear it at their Atlanta show, back in March:
Punk rock supergroup OFF! played Atlanta’s Drunken Unicorn last week. Their collection of EPs is a favorite in the office, so the whole Fabrication Fabrication team was in attendance. Also there, as modeled above by Dimitri Coats, was our Keith & Ron & Dez & Henry MY WARdrobe…
The highest highlight of that higher highlight of a night? Getting our personal copy autographed by Keith Morris. A gentleman and a legend!

When Rollins lamented “Now she’s black” on Loose Nut was he talking about an actual woman, waxing metaphoric about emotions, or uttering a reference to our MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt 27 years prior to its arrival? Let’s bow to the prescience of Hank. Our all-new, all-black, all-Black-Flag-Tribute-Shirts are on their way!
For Record Store Day 2012, we wanted to do something special, something that really captured the beautiful black spirit of buying beautiful black vinyl with beautiful Black Flag etched into it. Hence, everything went black for this limited edition: a BLACK shirt with BLACK ink. Black! Take me back! Black!
We’re also reuniting our two versions of the MY WARdrobe: Black Flag Tribute Shirt for this special Black/Black Black Flag configuration:
Making its debut will be a never-before-available Chavo version of our SLIP IT pIN: Black Flag Tribute Button. BLACK! Let me (p)in!
Shirts will available for order starting on April 21, 2012. For the latest updates, you should follow Fabrication Fabrication on Twitter, Instagram, or give us your email and get The Occasional Fabrication.
All orders come with a free Fabrication Fabrication sticker.
More details (and pictures) to come. Don’t gnaw off your knuckles in excitement.

Punk rock supergroup OFF! played Atlanta’s Drunken Unicorn last week. Their collection of EPs is a favorite in the office, so the whole Fabrication Fabrication team was in attendance. Also there, as modeled above by Dimitri Coats, was our Keith & Ron & Dez & Henry MY WARdrobe Black Flag Tribute Shirt.

OFF!, if you don’t know, is led by none other than Keith Morris, ex-Black Flag singer, Circle Jerks frontman, and the Keith in our Keith & Ron & Dez & Henry shirt. Having our tribute to Black Flag share the same stage as their first singer was a real honor.
The rest of the band—Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides), Mario Rubalcaba (Hot Snakes, Rocket From The Crypt), and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross)—carry their own weight in punk rock credentials. These four offer no watered down soft-shoe through old mens’ memories, but 100% valid, spirit of ‘79-style, tear-ups. Take note, kids.
Thanks Dimitri!
